About Us

First Baptist church is an established congregation in Palm Coast. This year we will celebrate our 35th anniversary. In 1974 we began meeting in several private residences in
the newly emerging Palm Coast community. God blessed and the need for a permanent meeting place was met by the Florida Baptist Convention, First Baptist of Daytona Beach and First Baptist, Bunnell. Because of their partnership, a facility was built at 301 Palm Coast Pkwy. The first worship service was held on March 19, 1978.

In 1983, First Baptist had to expand again in order to meet the demands of a growing congregation and community. In 1998, a 600 seat worship center and a two story education / fellowship hall was constructed. The church continued to grow as God continued to bless.

Once again, in 2001, it became necessary to meet the challenges of a growing congregation. After much prayer and discussion, the property at 301 Palm Coast Pkwy was sold to a developer and 10 acres was purchased about a ¼ mile from US 1 on Palm Coast Pkwy NW. Phase I of the master plan included a worship center, fellowship hall, classrooms and a preschool building. Services began January 3, 2003 at the new facility.

In 2005, Phase II of a master plan was begun to add an activity center/fellowship hall, 16 classrooms, 5 preschool classrooms, a 2,000 sq. ft. storage facility that has since become the meeting room for our world missions, and additional parking spaces.

Phase III will include additional seating in the worship center, another 16 classrooms and parking. To God Be the Glory for all He has done!
First Baptist Church is proud to be an active member in the Halifax Baptist Association of Churches, the Florida Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist convention. Through these partnerships we are able to literally reach our world with the love of God and the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We support the Cooperative Program of Ministries and Missions, to which First Baptist contributes a percentage of all undesignated receipts. As we join with thousands of other participating churches, our gifts are multiplied many times and we are able to accomplish together what none of us could accomplish on our own.

Our mission is the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20 where Jesus told us to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age”.      I am happy to introduce you to the First Baptist Church of Palm Coast. If you are one of the many newcomers to our area, welcome. We know that our area is very attractive to those still raising children as well as many who are experiencing the “empty nest”. Whatever your status, we are happy you are here.

If you are already a resident of our fair region, howdy neighbor. Because we are experiencing such a rapid growth in development and construction of new homes, our area is changing weekly. Palm Coast has a challenge to keep up with the pace.

Our church is going through quite the growth process, too. We are presently into the fourth year of a Capital Stewardship Campaign. The campaign has provided an additional 14,000 sq ft of space including educational classrooms, meeting space and a gymnasium for our growing membership and provides space for services and ministries to our community. The much needed space, along with phases 3 & 4 of our Master Plan of Building, will enable us to provide these quality ministries and services to our community for years to come.

I believe the reasons for our growth are: our commitment to the Word of God, friendly people, a multicultural membership, a heart for our region, and the desire to share the love of Christ with everyone.

If you have not found a church home yet, we encourage you to worship with us and see for yourself what First Baptist Church is all about.

I look forward to meeting you personally.
