
The New Testament is a collection of 29 inspired
writings ranging from purposeful selections
recounting the life of Jesus, doctrinal letters
correcting church problems, general letters, personal
appeals to friends, and even to wild visions
describing God’s return in glory for the saved.
This course overviews the New Testament writings
in their canonical order, showing how each book has
a purposeful function within the larger context of
Scripture. There are streamlined and accessible
background discussions related to the New
Testament writings equipping students to focus on
interpretive issues.
The required study book is:
Echevarria, Miguel G. Engaging the
New Testament: A Short Introduction
for Students and Ministers. 1st ed.;
Grand Rapids: Baker Academic, 2024.
This class starts 2-2-26 and recurs on Mondays at
6pm with Instructor Pastor Andy Belanger.
Course cost is: $5.00 for the course only or $15.00
inclusive of the required study book.
