We want you to feel comfortable while you worship with us. Here are answers to some common questions and what you can expect on your first visit.
1. Finding our church
Our church is located at 6050 Palm Coast Parkway NW, heading west toward US1.
2. Is there a place for my children?
Yes! Youth, Children and the Nursery are meeting for regular small groups at 9:30AM on Sundays. There is also Children’s Church & Nursery during the 10:45 hour, and Youth can join in at our Modern Worship Service.
3. What’s the Sunday schedule? We have three worship services in the Sanctuary for our family gathering, 8:15AM, 9:15AM and 10:45AM. If you are a first time visitor, someone will greet you warmly and show you where to find your place. All first-time visitors are encouraged to meet Pastor Kevin following each service to receive a welcome gift. During the 9:15 & 10:45 hours, our Sunday School/Small Groups meet for Bible Study. There’s a class for every age, babies to Senior Adults.
4. What should I wear?
There is no dress code at First Baptist. Most just come as they are, though some choose to dress up a bit. We do ask that you wear clothing that is modest & respectful.
5. Will I be called out or embarrassed during the service?
No, absolutely not! We care about you and know that a first visit can make a person nervous. People will greet you warmly during the welcome time and before and after church. We are a loving, welcoming church! You will not be singled out for special focus.
6. Am I expected to give an offering?
No. As our guest, we want our worship service to be a gift to you (and God). Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering. Members and regular attenders give offerings as their way to say “thank you” to God and to further the work of His kingdom through our church. If you feel comfortable doing so, we invite you to meet Pastor Kevin after the worship service to receive a free gift for attending.
7. What does it mean to become a member of First Baptist, and how does that happen?
Membership at First Baptist is a commitment to join our church family and get fully involved in Christian community. No one is required to become a member to attend, but we invite you to do so as an important way of setting down your spiritual roots and joining with a body of believers. There are several ways to become a member: a: By a profession of faith, and following in Believer’s baptism; b. If you have already accepted God’s gift of eternal life and were baptized as a believer by immersion elsewhere, you may join either ‘by statement’ or ‘by a promise of a letter’ from another church. If you don’t know what this means, no worries. We will explain it to you when you talk with us.
If you have other questions, call us, email us, or ask someone when you arrive. Whether you’re new to the area and are looking for a church home, or if it’s been a long time since you’ve attended church at all, we hope your first visit at First Baptist Church will be awesome!
We exist to honor God in everything we do and say and by so doing, serve you and your family. We look forward to meeting you personally, and want you to feel right at home and become a part of the FBC family!
